YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW

Yesterday you were happy and free,
Yesterday you put your arms around me.
Yesterday you sang songs and made me smile,
Yesterday oh, that seem now such a while.

Today you say you want your space,
Today you say I would hate that place.
Today you say I am better this way,
Today you say things I'd rather you didn't say.

Tomorrow you may change your mind,
Tomorrow you may go back in time.
Tomorrow you may be like yesterday,
Tomorrow you may tell me what to say.

But today I can only look on and love you,
For today there is nothing much I can do.
Today we will go slowing into the night,
Today we will just love by candle light.
